Deion Sanders hasn’t given any indication that he plans on leaving Jackson State, but that won’t stop rumors from circulating around the college football world.
During the latest edition of 247Sports’ The Block, Carl Reed shared his thoughts on Sanders’ future as a college football coach.
Reed suggested that Sanders could eventually take his talents to Georgia Tech, not Florida State.
“Can you imagine a Georgia Tech game with Deion Sanders in the building and the stars of Atlanta being out?” Reed asked. “It would be like USC in L.A. in terms of star power.”
While this is an intriguing idea, there are plenty of people dismissing it.
“Here we go again with this foolishness,” one fan said. “You can say whatever P5 school you want it’s not going to be the same. Coach Prime swag just compliments an HBCU so well. GT don’t have the culture and soul JSU has. It can’t be bought. You just got to have it in you.”
Of course, Georgia Tech fans would love to see this happen. Sanders would bring a ton of excitement to the program.
In two years at Jackson State, Sanders has a 15-5 record.
With top recruits like Travis Hunter joining the program, the future is bright for Sanders’ squad.
