Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made waves around the NFL this past weekend when he flashed the team’s prospect rankings during a post-draft press conference.
While it was initially impossible to make out the names on the chart, some diligent Cowboys fans have since “deciphered” the names.
14 players received first-round draft grades from Jones and the Cowboys franchise: Kayvon Thibodeaux, Evan Neal, Aidan Hutchinson, Garrett Wilson, Ahmad Gardner, Derek Stingley, Travon Walker, Kyle Hamilton, Ikem Ekwonu, Drake London, Jordan Davis, Charles Cross, Lewis Cine and Jameson Williams.
Listed just after these 14 players were Chris Olave and Tyler Smith. The Cowboys ultimately selected Smith with their 24th overall pick.
The NFL world took to Twitter to react to this deciphered list.
“I don’t even know how they did this, but it’s impressive,” one fan wrote.
Several fans pointed out the fact that the Cowboys’ NFC East-rival New York Giants landed their top-2 prospects in this year’s draft: Kayvon Thibodeaux and Evan Neal.
The New York Jets also had two of the Cowboys’ top-5 prospects: Garrett Wilson and Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner.
“Division rival getting your top 2 grades is DISGUSTING,” one wrote.
“Giants fans Super Bowl is taking Dallas top 2 players just to come in 4th place in the NFC East,” another added.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see how each of these players on the Cowboys’ big board turn out with their respective teams.
