It’s been made clear that Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown is serious about landing a contract extension. By all accounts, he will skip voluntary workouts as he looks for a new deal.
Earlier today, Brown took to Twitter to express his frustration with people calling him a bad teammate because of his stance. Now, another social media move by the fourth-year wideout has fans talking.
Tonight, Tennessean reporter Ben Arthur noticed that Brown removed the word “Tennessee” from his Twitter bio. We’ve seen several stars go through this social media “scrubbing” as a means of making their feelings clear to their current team.
It seems like that’s what Brown would be doing here.
For as long as I can remember, “TENNESSEE” was in A.J. Brown’s Twitter bio. That has been removed … #Titans pic.twitter.com/kBWsf8MZJy

Brown has been producing at a high level for three seasons on an insanely cheap rookie deal. He’s due just under $4 million this coming season at a time when the wide receiver market is exploding.
For what it’s worth, despite the ongoing drama, Brown could still wind up working things out with the Titans. As of earlier this evening, ESPN’s Dianna Russini, who is pretty plugged in down in Nashville, said “both sides” are working toward a contract extension for Brown.
I’m told “both sides are working towards an extension for A.J. Brown to remain a Titan for a long time”, per sources.

Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel also said recently that as long as he is in charge, Brown won’t be going anywhere.
Titans fans have to hope that Russini and Vrabel are correct, because right now, a lot of them are understandably a little anxious.
