On Saturday, the LSU Tigers officially parted ways with basketball coach Will Wade. This decision was made after the school received a Notice of Allegations that includes multiple Level 1 violations.
The Notice of Allegations that LSU received was released just moments ago. Let’s just say it doesn’t look good for Wade or LSU.
Wade violated the NCAA principles of ethical conduct in multiple ways. For starters, the NOA says Wade “condoned, participated in or negligently disregarded the violation or related wrongful conduct.”
To make matters worse, Wade failed to cooperate in the investigation and provided false or misleading information to the NCAA and CCU.
Additionally, the NOA states that “one or more violations caused significant ineligibility or other substantial harm to a student-athlete or prospective student-athlete.”
Here’s the full Notice of Allegations:
#LSU slapped with the dreaded “lack of institutional control” and the university, in total, committee eight Level 1 violations and two Level II violations, the NCAA says. There is a pattern of non-compliance and those in authority condoned the cheating, NCAA says. pic.twitter.com/anu85SVTxg

Overall, the program was hit with eight Level 1 violations and two Level II violations.
The timing of this situation isn’t ideal for the Tigers. With the NCAA tournament just around the corner, Kevin Nickelberry will serve as LSU’s interim coach.
Wade, meanwhile, will finish his time at LSU with a 108-54 record. However, not many people will remember his record as much as they will remember all the controversy that surrounded him.
