Two Pennsylvania State Police troopers and at least one suspect have been shot in Franklin County during an incident on I-81 about 25 miles north of Hagerstown, according to state police.
Officials state that troopers were called to an incident on I-81 south in Antrim Township, north of the state line in Western Maryland, around 6:30 p.m.
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said the shooting took place in Chambersburg.
State police say that both troopers were shot while exchanging gunfire with an unspecified number of suspects. Troopers state that one suspect was shot during the exchange.
The public has been urged to stay clear of I-81 southbound at Exit 3 until further notice as the scene remains active.
