The 6-foot-7 forward attends Lufkin High School in Lufkin, Texas. He is the No. 142 player nationally and No. 12 player in Texas in 247Sports’ composite rankings. Brown had 12 Division I offers, but took just two official visits: to Texas A&M in January, when Williams was still its head coach, and Maryland.
Brown is Maryland’s first addition to its 2026 class, and if he signs, will be the first high school recruit from Texas to join the Terps since Jaylen Brantley in 2015.
