Taggart is the Terps’ lone tight end commit.
Three-star tight end JT Taggart officially signed with Maryland football Wednesday after committing in June.
Listed at 6-foot-7, 225 pounds, Taggart has a lot of room to develop into his huge frame. A Maryland native, he played high school football at Calvert Hill College.
According to 247Sports Composite, Taggart is ranked as the No. 77 tight end in the class and No. 42 player from Maryland. His father is Willie Taggart, the current Baltimore Ravens running backs coach.
Taggart also received offers from Miami, West Virginia and Colorado.
