A nearly 50-year-old pit beef business shut down early Monday and announced its closure on Tuesday in the wake of “fire damage,” per a social media post from its Baltimore location’s account.
Chaps Pit Beef shared the news in a Monday evening Facebook Post. While the restaurant has three locations — in Aberdeen, Baltimore and Glen Burnie, the brand’s Baltimore location, in the Pulaski Industrial Era at 720 Mapleton Ave., posted the statement.
“We’re shutting down early tonight, and will be closed tomorrow due to fire damage,” reads the post. “Thankfully, no one was injured!”
Neither Chaps Pit Beef operators, nor the Baltimore City Fire Department, immediately responded to requests from The Sun for comment.
