A popular Federal Hill ice cream shop has been vandalized for the third time in less than a month, according to a post shared by the shop on Instagram Wednesday.
Moo Moo Cows closed for the day Wednesday after finding that vandals broke one of the shop’s windows and threw paint inside during the early morning hours. The shop celebrated its fifth anniversary just last week.
The first in this string of vandalism happened on July 30, when two men threw bricks through the business’s front windows, causing about $7,000 worth of damage. On Aug. 8, the shop shared a video of another group of men, once again throwing objects at and breaking the shop’s windows.
“I think people saw this as really kind of a violation to the community,” Moo Moo Cows co-owner William Runnebaum told FOX45 earlier this month. He said that he was hesitant to replace the window broken in the second attack on the shop, given the possibility of a third.
Moo Moo Cows did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
