Harford Community College held a pinning ceremony for its spring 2024 associate nursing degree on May 21 in the Amoss Center in Bel Air.
The event was hosted by the college’s Division of Nursing and Allied Health Professions with Rebecca Diaz, director for nursing education; Ashley Meisel, dean for nursing; along with Allied Health Professions.
Full-time nursing faculty Galen Ziegler led the graduates and all registered nurses in the audience as they recited the International Council of Nurses’ Pledge.
Harford Community College President Dr. Theresa B. Felder offered congratulatory remarks. Full-time nursing faculty Alicia Gainey and Deanna Garza presented the pins; Brandi Robinson and Faith Andrews handed the lamps to the graduates.
Full-time nursing faculty Gretchen Mirabile read the names of the graduates. Audrey Dick was the graduating class speaker. Nursing student Megan Ruzek made closing remarks.
Members of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society and the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society wore special cords to designate their membership.
Several students received recognition awards: Nicole Turner received the Maryland District 7 Leadership Award; Bryan Pruner received the Spalding Leadership Award; and Katie Mehring received the Spalding Leadership Award.
