Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Friday, May 9.

Girls lacrosse

Bel Air 16, City 4: The host Bobcats beat the Knights in a Class 3A North Region II semifinal. Bel Air was led by Paige Feick (5 goals, 3 assists), Riley Manzo (3 goals, 1 assist) and Delaney Burrows (3 goals). Charlie Martin had three goals for City. The Bobcats travel to Poly for Monday’s region final.

Century 12, Centennial 8: The visiting Knights beat the Eagles in a Class 2A West Region I semifinal. Century was led by Allison Fling (4 goals, 2 assists), Natalie Opatovsky (3 goals, 1 assist), Bella Garcia (2 goals, 1 assist) and Becca Harvey (2 goals). Centennial was led by Caroline Cudzilo (3 goals), Claire Whipkey (3 goals) and Bea Petrlik (2 assists).

Marriotts Ridge 20, Long Reach 1: The visiting Mustangs took a 15-0 lead in the first half and beat the Lightning in a Class 3A South Region I semifinal. Marriotts Ridge was led by Katie Leader (4 goals, 1 assist), Jenna Cratin (4 goals) and Audrey Erxeleben (3 goals).

Havre de Grace 21, Patterson Mill 12: The host Warriors beat the Huskies in a Class 1A North Region I semifinal. In the loss, Patterson Mill was led by Maddie Tunney (5 goals, 1 assist), Sam Chittum (3 goals, 1 assist, 7 draw controls), Emily Tapley (1 goal, 1 assist), Gabby Eraso (1 goal, 5 draw controls), Rylie Madsen (1 goal) and Jaya Rarnbhat (14 saves).

Severna Park 20, Crofton 5: The host Falcons won 21 draw controls and got goals from nine players to beat the Cardinals in a Class 3A East Region I semifinal. Severna Park was led by Bella Van Gieson (4 goals), Gracie Ciuba (4 goals), Maria Bragg (7 draw controls, 2 assists) and Erin Hussey (7 draw controls, 1 goal, 1 assist). Crofton was led by Sophie Osborne (2 goals, 1 assist).

Manchester Valley 20, Winters Mill 4: The host Mavericks beat the Falcons in a Class 2A West Region I semifinal. Winters Mill was led by Sienna Perryman (2 goals, 2 assists),  Rowan Dorsey (1 goal), Riley Hollinger (1 goal) and  Addison Vallandingham (15 saves).

Liberty 19, Francis Scott Key 4: The host Lions beat the Eagles in a Class 1A West Region I semifinal. Liberty was led by Jordyn Ottt (6 goals), Mady Smith (3 goals, 6 assists), Abby Solarczyk (3 goals) and Kourtney Goff (2 goals, 2 assists).

Towson 20, Franklin 6: The Generals built a 15-3 halftime lead and cruised to victory in their 3A North Region I semifinal. June Barber scored a team-high six goals. Leila Franklin totaled seven points on four goals and three assists. Allie Kennedy added four goals and two assists. Leila Mazhari won six draw controls.

Boys lacrosse

Bel Air 16, City 0: The visiting Bobcats took a 9-0 lead in the first half and shut out the Knights in a Class 3A North Region II semifinal. Bel Air was led by Grant Smith (6 goals, 1 assist) and Hunter Neal (2 goals, 2 assists).

Calvert Hall 13, St. Paul’s 5: The host Cardinals (14-2) beat the Crusaders (8-8) in an Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference quarterfinal. Calvert Hall advances to face McDonogh in the semifinals on Tuesday at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium

Concordia Prep 23, St. Vincent Pallotti 2: The host Saints (9-3) beat the Panthers (4-10) in an MIAA B Conference quarterfinal. Concordia Prep travels to Saints Peter & Paul for Tuesday’s semifinal.

Marriotts Ridge 15, Mount Hebron 8: The host Mustangs beat the Vikings in a Class 3A South Region I semifinal. Marriotts Ridge was led by Mason Machiran (5 goals, 3 assists), Josh Lindquist (5 goals, 1 assist) and Ellis O’Brien (1 goal, 3 assists).

South River 8, Crofton 6: The host Seahawks put together a late rally in the fourth quarter in a come-from-behind win over the Cardinals in a Class 3A East Region I semifinal. South River was led by Ethan Marcian and Greg Proud with two goals and an assist and Andew Patterson won 16 of 18 face-offs. Crofton was led by John Gallizzo with 14 saves.

Fallston 17, Patterson Mill 1: The host Cougars beat the Huskies in a Class 1A North Region II semifinal. Fallston was led by Jaden Riley (6 goals, 2 assists), TJ Shimaitis (2 goals, 1 assist), Brendan Rey (2 goals, 1 assist).

Gunston Day 6, Chapelgate Christian 4: The visiting Herons (6-8) beat the Yellow Jackets (5-7) in an MIAA C Conference quarterfinal. Gunston Day travels to Glenelg Country for a semifinal game on Tuesday.

Key School 10, Friends 1: The host Obezags (12-3) beat the Quakers (4-8) in an MIAA C Conference quarterfinal. Key School travels to Annapolis Area Christian in a semifinal on Tuesday.
