Boys soccer
Loyola Blakefield 2, Mount St. Joseph 1: The host Dons (5-2, 4-2 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) beat the Gaels (2-4-1, 2-4). On Thursday, Mount St. Joseph hosts John Carroll. On Friday, Loyola travels to A Conference leader and undefeated Calvert Hall.
Archbishop Spalding 6, Concordia Prep 1: The visiting Cavaliers (3-5, 3-5 MIAA A Conference) beat the Saints (1-8, 0-7). Next Wednesday, Spalding hosts John Carroll.
Gilman 1, John Carroll 0: The visiting Greyhounds (3-3-2, 3-1-2 MIAA A Conference) shut out the Patriots (4-4, 2-4) on Monday. Gilman hosts Concordia Prep on Friday.
Girls soccer
Arundel 4, North Point 0: Freshman Kristin Apodaca had two goals and an assist and the host Wildcats shut out the Eagles on Monday. Arundel scored all four goals in the second half. Other notables for the Wildcats included: Hannah Slifer (1 goal) and Neha Shrestha (1 assist).
Mercy 2, Bishop O’Connell (Va.) 1: The host Magic (6-0-1) got a goal each from Ava Hartman and Izzy Kennedy to beat the Knights. Mercy goalie Sarah Graham made seven saves and Aubrey O’Connell had an assist. Next Wednesday, the Magic travel to Notre Dame Prep.
