Passmore, who attended Combine Academy in North Carolina, was the No. 50 recruit in the 2024 class in the 247Sports Composite. Maryland was not included in 247Sports’ list of Passmore’s interested teams as a high school recruit.
Passmore stands 6-foot-5 and 185 pounds and was listed as the 137th-best transfer portal prospect by 247Sports. He played just five minutes per game in 23 appearances as a freshman, averaging 0.7 points and 0.6 rebounds per game.
The rising sophomore has three remaining years of eligibility. He joins a backcourt that includes four transfers and two incoming freshman: four-star combo guard Darius Adams and Guillermo Del Pino, who signed from Spain.
