Maryland field hockey head coach Missy Meharg signed a contract extension through December 31, 2028, according to an announcement made Thursday by Maryland athletics director Damon Evans.
Meharg, a seven-time national champion, completed her 37th season leading the program in 2024. She boasts an impressive career record of 655-172-9 as head coach of the Terps, with achievements including 20 Final Four appearances and 12 NCAA title game appearances.
Currently ranked third all-time in Division I victories and the winningest active head coach in Division I field hockey, Meharg has received numerous accolades throughout her career. She was inducted into the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009, as well as the DC Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.
