This is the Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.
Maryland football safety Beau Brade accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl, it was announced Tuesday. The game is played annually in February.
Brade, a senior defensive back, leads the Terps in both tackles (66) and pass breakups (6). Against Michigan last Saturday, he posted a season-high 11 tackles — one for a loss.
The Senior Bowl is composed of two 58-man rosters which will be finalized between the regular-season and bowl games. Invitees are considered to be some of the top NFL draft prospects.
Last year, Maryland had three representatives: defensive back Jakorian Bennett, offensive lineman Jaylen Duncan and kicker Chad Ryland. Each were selected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
In CBS Sports’ latest NFL mock draft, Brade was projected to be an early fourth-round selection (No. 108 overall).
