This is the Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.

Maryland women’s lacrosse on Wednesday released its 16-game schedule for the 2024 season.

The Terps’ season will begin with two road games, first at Saint Joseph’s on Feb. 10 and then at Syracuse a week later. Their first two home games at the renovated Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex will come against Drexel (Feb. 21) and Florida (Feb. 24).

Maryland spent last season playing at SECU Stadium while its usual home venue was under construction.

“We are so excited to get this season going in our brand new, state-of-the-art complex,” Terps head coach Cathy Reese said in a release.

Other nonconference matchups include road trips to Denver (March 2), William and Mary (March 6), Georgetown (March 20) and Princeton (April 17). Its remaining home nonconference games will come against James Madison (March 10) and Penn (March 27).

In Big Ten play, Maryland will travel to Ohio State (March 16), Michigan (March 30) and Johns Hopkins (April 10). The Terps will host Rutgers (March 23), Northwestern (April 6) and Penn State (April 13).

“We had an extremely productive fall together and cannot wait to put it all together in the spring,” Reese continued. “Our fans will have a lot of fun watching this group against a really good schedule.”

Game times and broadcast destinations will be announced at a later date.
