Maryland football hired Ted Monachino as its defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach, head coach Michael Locksley announced Tuesday morning.

Monachino has coached at all levels of football over the last 33 years, including 16 in the NFL. He won a Super Bowl with the Ravens in 2013 and served as the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts for two seasons.
Monachino heads to College Park from North Carolina, where he served as a cefensive analyst in 2023 and defensive line coach last season.
