Maryland track and field ended the final day of Big Ten competition with five podium finishes Sunday.
The podium finishes consisted of the men’s 4×100 and women’s 4×400 relay teams, as well as 400-meter runner Maya Valmon, 800-meter runner Eric Albright and triple jumper Tolu Akinduro.
The men’s 4X100 squad finished in eighth place while the women’s 4X400 squad posted the third-best time in program history and finished sixth overall. Valmon finished in eighth place with a time of 53.82 seconds while Albright secured seventh place with a time of 1:49.13. Akinduro took eighth place with a 12.64-meter leap.
In some other impressive performances, Kami Joi Hickson placed ninth in the 800 meters and Jennessa Wolfe finished 15th in the high jump.

No. 2-seed Maryland men’s lacrosse is headed to the Final Four after defeating Georgetown Sunday, 9-6. Nolan Rogalski recapped the action.
Maryland men’s baseball was eliminated from postseason contention over the weekend but still won its final game Saturday. Tahlia Williams recapped the contest.
