This is a Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.

While they still have plenty to play for as Terps, the future for three Maryland men’s lacrosse players got clearer Tuesday night.

Logan McNaney and Jack McDonald were each selected in the second round of the Premier Lacrosse League Draft. McNaney went 11th overall to the Denver Outlaws, and Jack McDonald went 16th overall to the Carolina Chaos. With the final pick of the draft, Bryce Ford was selected by the Utah Archers.

McNaney, a graduate goalkeeper, set Maryland men’s lacrosse’s all-time saves record against Ohio State on April 14th. He currently has 743 saves and a 54.7% career save rate.

In Denver, he will meet up with several ex-Terps. Jesse Bernhardt, Maryland’s current associate head coach and defensive coordinator, is a team captain. Attacker Logan Wisnauskas, defensive midfielder Alexander Smith, long stick midfielder Nick Grill, and faceoff specialist Luke Wierman also play for the Outlaws, giving McNaney plenty of familiar faces.

McDonald, a graduate long-stick midfielder, has 116 ground balls and 32 caused turnovers in his Maryland career. He has also scored seven points across his time with Maryland.

This season, McDonald has been a key player on Maryland’s main defensive and faceoff units. He leads the team with 42 ground balls and is tied for second with 11 caused turnovers.

Ford spent four years at Fairfield before coming to Maryland for 2025. In his lone season with the Terps, Ford has recorded 18 goals and seven assists. He has become a key player in the midfield — his 25 points are sixth-most for Maryland.

Both he and McDonald will be the only Terps on their respective teams.
