This is the Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.
The Big Ten revealed Maryland women’s basketball’s 2024-25 conference opponents Tuesday afternoon. The Terps will play 18 interconference contests.
They will host Ohio State twice after losing to the highly ranked Buckeyes in the 2023-24 regular season, before defeating them in the Big Ten Tournament.
Maryland will also play host to a number of new Big Ten programs with the expansion of the conference. Now, it will face off against UCLA and USC at home — the latter of which will likely pack the Xfinity Center because of the Trojans’ JuJu Watkins — and travel cross-country to duel Washington and Oregon.
The Terps’ other home foes include Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Rutgers. They will head on the road to play Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin.
Maryland’s nonconference schedule will be announced at a later date.
