Maryland thrower Chioma Njoku placed 15th in the hammer throw at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Njoku’s throw of 64.86m earned her second team All-American honors.

Njoku’s best throw of the day was less than a meter off the 65.60m personal best she set at the East First Round in late May.
Njoku was Maryland’s sole participant in the NCAA championships. This is the third consecutive season in which a Maryland thrower has earned All-American status.

Maryland men’s lacrosse earned a commitment from former UMBC short stick defensive midfielder Trey Fleece. The graduate transfer recorded 42 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers through 12 games in 2025.
