Former Maryland women’s basketball star Alyssa Thomas made history Friday in the Phoenix Mercury’s 106-91 win Rover the New York Liberty.
Thomas recorded 17 points, 15 assists and nine rebounds. She became the first player in WNBA history to notch at least 15 points, 15 assists and five rebounds in multiple regular season games.

Thomas is averaging 9.5 assists per game — set for a new career-high — to go along with 14.6 points per game.
