Maryland men’s basketball announced Wednesday two additions to head coach Buzz Williams’ staff. Aki Collins will join an assistant coach director of player personnel, and Greg Young will be special assistant to the head coach.
Collins comes to College Park after a two-year stint as director of recruiting and retention for Overtime Elite. His most recent college experience came as an assistant coach at Penn State, where he was a key cog for the program’s recruiting, according to Maryland’s release.
Young has decades of coaching experience at the college level. He was most recently associate head coach at Troy starting in 2023, and was head coach at UT Arlington from 2021 until 2023.

Former Maryland radio analyst and Maryland graduate Tim Strachan passed away at the age of 49.
