Maryland women’s basketball head coach Brenda Frese announced a pair of updates to her staff Monday — Ryland Adkins was promoted to Executive Director of Operations/Chief of Staff, and Mitch Simmons was named Director of Basketball Operations.
Adkins, who graduated from Maryland, previously held the title of Director of Basketball Operations beginning in the 2021-22 season. She has fulfilled responsibilities including but not limited to budgeting, day-to-day operations of travel and scheduling.
Simmons arrives in College Park after having been the Director of Basketball Operations for Wisconsin women’s basketball. A graduate of UConn in 2018, he held similar roles to Adkins at Wisconsin, including scheduling, budget and team travel.
