49 Maryland athletes were awarded distinguished scholar awards by the Big Ten, the conference announced Wednesday.
Athletes on 15 teams — baseball, football, men’s golf, men’s lacrosse, track and field, men’s soccer, wrestling, cross country, field hockey, women’s golf, gymnastics, women’s lacrosse, women’s soccer, softball and volleyball — earned awards.
