Maryland baseball utility player Chris Hacopian earned his second postseason honor, as he was named the Freshman All-American second team by D1Baseball on Monday.
He also received Freshman All-American second-team honors by Perfect Game, making him the first Terp to pick up multiple freshman all-American honors since Kevin Smith in 2015.

Hacopian was a bright spot on a disappointing Maryland team last season. He finished the year with a .323 batting average, 42 RBIs and 15 home runs en route to a All-Big Ten second-team selection. His 15 home runs were the second most by a Maryland freshman in program history.
