See how former Maryland football players performed in the NFL this past week.
It took seven weeks, but New York Giants rookie cornerback Deonte Banks finally brought in his first career interception Sunday against the Washington Commanders.

Banks had an up-and-down game outside of the interception, though. He recorded a tackling grade of 80.2, per Pro Football Focus, but set a season-worst mark of 96 yards allowed on 11 targets.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs squared off against a fellow Maryland football alum, New England Patriots cornerback J.C. Jackson. Diggs had the better of Jackson, earning a PFF grade of 99.0 when matched up with Jackson.
Still, Diggs had one of his least productive games of the season, managing 58 yards on six receptions. Even so, he managed a highlight-reel touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

Jackson has improved since being traded by the Los Angeles Chargers, with his average coverage, tackling and total defense grades all higher through three games with New England.
Patriots kicker Chad Ryland also came up big. Ryland has seen some inconsistencies in his rookie campaign, but he nailed all three of his field goal attempts and both extra points Sunday.
Arizona Cardinals linebacker Josh Woods has also improved since coming back from an injury in Week 6. He had a season-high six tackles and three run stops in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
