Here’s how former Maryland football players performed in the NFL this past week.

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore scored two touchdowns on Sunday against the Detroit Lions — the top individual performance among former Maryland football players in the NFL.

Moore caught a touchdown on a fourth-and-13 and later rushed for a score against the division leaders. He tallied six receptions for 63 yards through the air and 20 yards on three rushing attempts. Moore finished the weekend ranked seventh in the league in receiving yards and tied for sixth in receiving touchdowns.

Defensive end Yannick Ngakoue also put forth an impressive performance for the Bears, recording a sack and two run stops, according to Pro Football Focus.

Also on the defensive side of the ball, New York Giants rookie cornerback Deonte Banks made a touchdown-saving pass breakup Monday night against the Green Bay Packers.

Banks was targeted 10 times, but only let up five receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown, according to PFF. Banks also had a season-high 12 total tackles.

Elsewhere among defensive backs, Packers safety Darnell Savage recorded seven total tackles, but his three missed tackles gave him a PFF tackling grade of just 30.

New England Patriots cornerback J.C. Jackson also had a rough go of things Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, posting a PFF defensive grade below 30. Jackson has not performed well since coming back from injury this year, averaging a defensive grade of just 34. On Thursday, he let up three receptions — one of which was a touchdown — committed two penalties and allowed a passer rating of 139.2, a season-worst.

Tennessee Titans left tackle Jaelyn Duncan saw his third straight start, but continued to struggle in pass protection. He did not let up a sack but did allow five quarterback pressures, bringing his three-game total to 17. Duncan has recorded solid run-blocking grades, though.

New York Jets defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson was responsible for five pressures against the Houston Texans. Jefferson, part of a Jets defense that only allowed six points, recorded two run stops and three tackles.
