Here’s how former Maryland football players performed in the NFL this past week.

Week 14 of the NFL season has come and gone, with multiple former Maryland football players contributing to their respective teams.

Buffalo Bills running back Ty Johnson had the biggest catch of his career on a second-quarter score against the Los Angeles Rams Sunday afternoon. In a 44-42 loss in Los Angeles, Johnson caught a left-side screen pass about 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

Johnson then spotted a hole in the Rams’ second level and hit the gas, speeding down the sideline for a 41-yard touchdown to cut Los Angeles lead to 17-14.

The play was the longest of the 104 catches in Johnson’s six-year NFL career. Johnson also posted a 14-yard catch to finish the game with two catches on three targets for 55 yards.

For the third straight week, Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore paced Chicago’s receiving corps in a losing effort.

Although the San Francisco 49ers dominated the visiting Bears, 38-13, Moore finished with a team-high six catches on eight targets for 49 yards.

Moore has averaged 78.5 receiving yards per game over his last four outings, a massive jump from the 26 per game he averaged in the four games prior.
