On this week’s episode of the Under the Shell Podcast, hosts Brendan Weissel, Sam Jane and Michael Howes are joined by No. 15 Maryland women’s basketball guard Sarah Te-Biasu.
Te-Biasu hit a game-winner Sunday in Maryland’s 93-90 overtime thriller against then-No. 12 Ohio State. The senior is averaging 9.1 points and 2.4 points per game. The Terps earned the No. 4 seed and a double-bye in the Big Ten Tournament. They will either play Michigan or Washington on March 7.
She discussed her transfer to the Terps — which came after winning the 2024 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year at VCU. Te-Biasu also talked about the chances to be a host team at the NCAA Tournament and the advantages of playing in competitive regular season atmospheres.
“Maryland, when I saw them, they were one of the first to message me,” Te-Biasu said. “When I came on a visit, I felt at home.”
