The Cleveland Browns play the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday in a game that could determine the Browns’ AFC North title fate. And Browns QB Baker Mayfield understands the stakes.
Speaking to the media today, Mayfield said that the Browns realize that they’re in “crunch time” and need to focus. He said that the team will do what it can to block out the noise and “take of business one day and one week at a time.”
“That’s kind of the mentality we went into it the last two weeks, is we still have everything in front of us,” Mayfield said, via ProFootballTalk. “But now it’s crunch time. Everybody’s talking about playoffs, but we need to have that singular focus, block out everything else, and realize that we need to take care of business one day and one week at a time.”
The Browns are 6-6 with the AFC North’s worst record. But they’re still within two games of the Ravens heading into Sunday.
A loss wouldn’t end their playoff hopes, but it would probably put the AFC North and a first-round home game out of reach.

The Cleveland Browns have alternated wins and losses every week mid-October. Finding consistency has been a major issue for the Browns all season.
Baker Mayfield has struggled to find his own consistency too. He has just 11 touchdowns this year – on pace for the fewest of his career.
Unless the Browns want to battle for a wildcard spot, beating the Ravens this weekend is a must.
Will Baker and the Browns get the W?
