The Ravens have been strong at center for the better part of this century. Which player will end up earning the right to represent on the Ravens Quarter Century Team?

We’re on to the final piece of the offensive line!

Which of these dominant centers will be named to the position on the Ravens Quarter Century Team?

Let’s go ahead and find out!

Matt Birk (2009-2012)

Brik joined the Ravens as a free agent prior to the 2009 season after a decade of playing for the Minnesota Vikings. He immediately stepped in as the team’s starting center, playing in all 64 regular season games over the next four season before retiring after the 2012 campaign.

In 2011, Birk was named a First-Team All-Pro, the second such honor of his career. In 2011, he was also named the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award recipient.

Birk capped off his professional career by helping the Ravens reach Super Bowl XLVII where they beat the San Francisco 49ers for their first championship since winning it all in 2000.

Tyler Linderbaum (2022-present)

It might be a little early to put Linderbaum here, but that goes to show just how great he’s been since entering the league. After being drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Linderbaum started all 17 games en route to being named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. In years two and three, Linderbaum started all but two games during the regular season and was named to the Pro Bowl during each campaign.

Mike Flynn (2000-2007)

Flynn joined the Ravens in 1998 as an undrafted free agent out of Maine before defying the odds to enjoy a lengthy 10-year career for the Ravens. In total, he started 115 of 134 games for the Ravens, the majority of which came at center. During the 2000 and 2004 campaigns, Flynn made the move to right guard where he started 21 games, the former season being the team’s championship year where they won Super Bowl XXXV.
