Baltimore Ravens Seven-Round Mock Draft

April 10, 2023 by Last Word On Pro Football

Ravens Mock Draft

The 2023 NFL Draft is mere weeks away for the Ravens and the other 31 NFL teams, which means that mock draft season is in full swing. As of this posting, Baltimore only has five picks in the upcoming draft and Lamar Jackson is still a member of the organization. We’re going to assume both of those variables remain unchanged when the Ravens are actually on the clock.

Note that this exercise was performed using the Pro Football Network Mock Draft Machine. If the player was on the board when the Ravens were on the clock, they were fair game. Also note that trades were not included.

Seven-Round Baltimore Ravens Mock Draft

First Round (22nd Overall): Quentin Johnston, WR

Even with Odell Beckham Jr on the Ravens, Baltimore still needs another wide receiver, and they address that position early in this mock draft. Quentin Johnston probably has the highest ceiling of any receiver in this class, as the 6′-4″, 215-pound receiver is an absolute freak of nature with a 98th percentile burst score. He can stop on a dime and creates a massive target for his quarterback. Combining him with Beckham, Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, and a (hopefully) healthy Rashod Bateman should give the Ravens enough pieces to field a competent offense.

Third Round (86th Overall): Jaylon Jones, CB

Marcus Peters is still a free agent, and as long as that is the case, the Ravens will have a need at cornerback. Baltimore loves having a multitude of starting-caliber cornerbacks, and Jaylon Jones has the potential to be an above-average starter. He certainly has the build, and if the coaching staff can iron out his fundamental deficiencies, then the sky is the limit.

Fourth Round (124th Overall): Zach Harrison, EDGE

Zach Harrison is built like an unstoppable tank, but his actual on-field production has yet to match up with his potential. If the Ravens can ever activate the special abilities that made him a top-five recruit coming out of high school, then this mock draft selection is an absolute steal. However, even if Harrison fails to improve, he can still be a solid rotational edge defender, and that’s definitely worth a fourth-round investment.

Fifth Round (157th Overall): Tyjae Spears, RB

In a perfect world, J.K. Dobbins will come back and play like his rookie self in 2023. However, the running back has battled injuries over the past two seasons and looked notably slower even when on the field. While it’s far too early to give up on him, the Ravens should invest in more depth so they don’t have to turn to Kenyan Drake for the second straight season. Tyjae Spears is no superstar, but he’s capable of reading his blocks and picking up what’s there, which makes him an ideal fit behind a strong offensive line.

Sixth Round (199th Overall): Dante Stills, DT

This point of the Ravens mock draft is more about selecting the best player available than it is worrying about positional fits, which makes Dante Stills an easy choice. A classic jack of all trades and master of none, the West Virginia product has what it takes to play multiple positions along the defensive line, although he probably won’t be a starter at any of them. Ultimately, he’s the perfect depth selection with some pass-rushing upside, which is really all you can ask for in the back of the sixth round.
