A Baltimore woman was killed and a New York State Police officer was injured in a three-car collision in Upstate New York, on Friday, according to police.
At 3:35 p.m., New York State Police responded to a three-car collision involving a state police vehicle, a 2011 Mercedes 350 and a Ford Transit near Schroon Lake in Essex County.
According to police, a state trooper was conducting a traffic stop on the 2011 Mercedes 350 after witnessing a traffic law violation. The Ford Transit struck the back of the police vehicle, which was stopped on I-87 with the emergency lights activated, police said.
Anne F. Everton, 43, of Baltimore, was a passenger in the Ford Transit and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Brian M. Daniloski, 58, of Baltimore, had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Glens Falls Hospitals, police said.
The New York State trooper was taken to Glen Falls Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Mercedes driver and passenger were uninjured and had minor damage to their vehicle.
New York State Police are investigating the incident.
