After providing one of the NFL’s most historical offenses, Todd Monken is being requested to interview with the Chicago Bears.
Baltimore Ravens coaches are once again being named in the coaching hiring cycle after being pilfered just a season ago. The first of the reported interview requests involving the Ravens comes by way of the Chicago Bears inquiring about Ravens Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken.

Monken, 58, was interviewed for a head coach role with two teams last season, the Los Angeles Chargers and Carolina Panthers. He conducted both interviews but the team’s instead hired Jim Harbaugh and Dave Canales, respectively.
It’s no surprise the Bears are interested in Monken. Last season he led the Ravens’ offense to impressive heights, where they finished ranked No. 4 in scoring (28.4 pgg), and No. 6 in total yards (370.4). His quarterback, Lamar Jackson, won NFL MVP.
This season, the Ravens improved on all metrics, scoring 30.5 points per game (No. 3) and averaging 424.9 yards per game (No. 1). The Ravens became the first offense in NFL history to score 40 passing touchdowns and 20 rushing touchdowns in the same season. They’re also the first to throw for at least 4,000 yards and rush for at least 3,000. The offense finished third in NFL history in offensive yards, behind only the 2011 New Orleans Saints (7,474) and 2013 Denver Broncos (7,317).
