The controversy surrounding the truth behind Michael Oher’s relationship with the Tuohy family has made its way to the cast of the movie The Blind Side, which saw Sandra Bullock win an Oscar for her portrayal of Leigh Ann Tuohy.
There have been a few calls for Bullock to give back the Oscar she won in 2010. But Quinton Aaron, the actor who portrayed Michael Oher in the film, is furious about the mere idea of it.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Aaron said that it wouldn’t make sense to him for Bullock to give up the Oscar. He pointed out that Bullock has nothing to do with the real story and that her “brilliant performance” shouldn’t be “tarnished” over this.
“To make a statement like that doesn’t make any sense,” Aaron said. “Sandra Bullock didn’t have anything to do with the real story that we’re reading as of right now.”
“She gave a brilliant performance,” Aaron said. “And that shouldn’t be tarnished for something that had nothing to do with her.”

As for his own relationship with the Tuohys, Quinton Aaron said he never saw anything out of the ordinary from them while meeting them before the film. He said that he hasn’t spoken to the family since the film’s release in 2009.
“I got a good sense from all of them,” he said. “They were real cool to me.”
