The Kansas City Chiefs received a new update regarding their wide receiver, Rashee Rice, and it does not look good for this offense. According to the breaking news, the league announced that Rice will serve a six-game suspension, which is a huge blow to Patrick Mahomes’ aerial attack and plans for this upcoming 2025 campaign. Rice has been waiting for a verdict in his car crash case, and he will have to wait a little longer to hit the field. Meanwhile, Kansas City has plenty of depth behind Xavier Worthy and Marquise Brown.
Jalen Royals, Tyquan Thornton and Nikko Remigio are untested, and JuJu Smith-Schuster hasn’t shown to be consistent for the Chiefs. This could motivate the team to explore a possible trade surrounding one of Mahomes’ favorite weapons, Tyreek Hill. Originally selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, the former West Alabama product was the subject of trade rumors, and the Dolphins are only open to sending him to a new team at the “right offer.”
Perhaps the Chiefs could send Brown and a future first-round pick. In return, the Dolphins could be willing to send Hill, which would put Mahomes’ passing game back intact. Unfortunately, there are plenty of teams that are in the market for a wide receiver. These three teams could intervene and snag Hill.

Other Best Fits
Los Angeles Chargers
Even though the Los Angeles Chargers have been able to salvage the wide receiver unit, the team still has one of the youngest weapons in the league. The Chargers brought back Mike Williams before he shortly retired. However, they were able to bring back Keenan Allen. Tyreek Hill might be the answer that the Chargers should be looking for when eyeing a superstar talent.
Justin Herbert is easily still a top 5 quarterback, but they must provide him with the best playmakers as much as possible. They can’t depend on the run forever, so some change has to happen for the team to see change, especially in the playoffs.
New England Patriots
Meanwhile, the New England Patriots cut Kendrick Bourne and Javon Baker this week since months earlier, they signed Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins. New head coach Mike Vrabel is trying to find consistent playmakers for Drake Maye, so just because they have a deep receiver group, they probably won’t be there for the next two to three seasons. Hill isn’t god, but he could be what revives this passing game for Maye.
The superstar isn’t turning Maye into Tom Brady 2.0, but it should give the quarterback enough confidence to put the ball in the right spaces.
Baltimore Ravens
However, the Baltimore Ravens probably have one of the best core receiver groups in the league. After signing DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, the Ravens have found their WR3 behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Why not add on to what they have and take a swing and trade for Hill to boost their playoff chances? Hill could easily find a role in this offense and put Lamar Jackson in the Super Bowl.
