The Jets have agreed to a trade this Thursday, but it doesn’t involve Aaron Rodgers. Instead, they’re acquiring a veteran safety from the Ravens.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Jets are sending a late-round draft pick to the Ravens for Chuck Clark.
“The starter since 2019, Clark now adds veteran experience to NYJ,” Rapoport said. “It should be official when the league year begins.”
ESPN insider Adam Schefter has reported that Baltimore will receive a 2024 seventh-round pick from New York.
Clark appeared in all 17 games for the Ravens this past season, racking up 101 total tackles, four passes defended and a forced fumble.
In six seasons with the Ravens, Clark had 384 tackles, 32 passes defended, five interceptions and five forced fumbles.
There’s essentially no risk in adding Clark for a seventh-round pick. If anything, this could end up being a bargain for Robert Saleh and the Jets.
