BREAKING: Ravens Facing Potential Discipline For Lamar Jackson’s Injury, Practice Report

October 26, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will miss another week of practice with a hamstring injury, but this ailment could have long-lasting implications on the organization. Baltimore originally listed the quarterback as a full participant on Friday’s injury report, but oddly changed the designation to “limited” when they ruled him out on Saturday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Lamar Jackson ran the scout team on Friday, and the NFL injury report policy states this type of work should have made him a limited participant. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said that “the league will look into this” to see if league discipline is required.

Ravens Facing Possible League Discipline For Lamar Jackson Injury Designation, Practice Reporting

Perhaps this was nothing more than a slight oversight by the Baltimore Ravens, but the Lamar Jackson injury change had a major impact on the Vegas lines. Baltimore was a 6.5-point favorite over Chicago prior to the injury, but now they’re just 1.5-point favorites with veteran journeyman Tyler Huntley set to start. Given the drastic swing in the betting market, the league must ensure that the Ravens weren’t acting with nefarious intentions.

Tyler Huntley has bounced around the league over the past few years, but is best known for his time with the Baltimore Ravens. Originally signing on as the third-string quarterback, the Utah product took the backup role from an ineffective Cooper Rush in Week 6. So far this season, the quarterback has completed 10 of his 15 attempts for 68 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions.

With Lamar Jackson sidelined due to injury, the quarterback will face a white-hot Chicago Bears team. Led by quarterback Caleb Williams and first-year head coach Ben Johnson, the team enters Week 8 with an impressive 4-2 record. If the 1-5 Baltimore Ravens want to keep their season alive, they’ll need to play their best football of the season.
