Breaking: Ravens GM Suggest NFL Blockbuster Trade

The Baltimore Ravens GM Eric DeCosta is not committing to tight end Mark Andrews as the team could move on this offseason. According to several sources, DeCosta does not know if Andrews will stay on the roster after stating that “I never know what’s going to happen.” This completely contradicts what head coach John Harbaugh has been saying all offseason, that the Ravens would prefer to keep him, so a trade isn’t out of the question. Andrews is still the subject of a trade, especially after dropping a crucial ball in the loss against the Buffalo Bills.

Originally selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the former three-time Pro Bowler is entering the last year of his contract, and the future doesn’t look bright for him to stay in Baltimore. Many players within the organization, especially Harbaugh, want him to stay, but that will be up to what the general manager ends up doing being since he has the higher authority. Rightfully so, the Ravens’ tight end was still in the trade conversations even though many prefer him to stay on the team, but DeCosta doesn’t think so. So, where will Mark Andrews go?

It’s one of the biggest storylines in the league, so it shouldn’t be surprising if the Ravens trade him during this year’s NFL Draft. Baltimore could be looking to get some draft capital in return for Andrews, but they have to do him a favor and trade him to these three teams if they don’t see a future with him.

Potential Destinations

Kansas City Chiefs

Last season, the chemistry between quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce was off for the majority of the campaign. Despite that, the team was finding ways to win close games, but everyone should understand that Kelce isn’t the same. However, they have to start thinking about life after him as the Chiefs are on a time clock to find the next best “Kelce” for Mahomes. This is probably Kelce’s final year in the league, and there’s no better way to get another tight end like Mark Andrews.

Even though the Ravens may never trade Andrews to an AFC team, they could do it if they’re this desperate. Andrews might not have the same capabilities as Kelce, but he does have the experience and knows how to win games. It’s a scenery shift for Andrews, and as long as the Chiefs start him, the team should have no problems bringing the best out of him.

Los Angeles Chargers

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers have been scrambling for answers, looking for another capable pass catcher for quarterback Justin Herbert. Despite signing Tyler Conklin to a one-year deal, the Chargers should trade for Andrews and exchange him for Will Dissly. Conklin could be fighting for a roster spot this 2025 season, and it doesn’t make sense for the Chargers to keep Dissly.

The team failed to get DK Metcalf and settled for wide receiver Mike Williams. Andrews won’t be catching all the balls, but it would strengthen this offense, which only has 2024 draft pick Ladd McConkey as the only set of reliable hands.

Philadelphia Eagles

For the Eagles, they’re also looking to trade their tight end, Dallas Goedert. Many should expect the Eagles to move on as the team could likely trade swap with the Ravens for Andrews. This move might make more sense since it would be a win-win situation.
