With the Las Vegas Raiders sitting at 1-3, top NFL star pass rusher Maxx Crosby could request a trade this 2025 campaign. Crosby has been a part of several trade rumors this past offseason before signing a monster extension to stay with the Raiders. However, there is speculation surrounding the Dallas Cowboys that they could target Crosby in a possible trade scenario, but it’s all from an unofficial source, so it’s nothing to be taken seriously. Despite that, this doesn’t rule out the idea of Crosby wanting a trade sometime in the future, and it could come as early as this season if frustrations mount with the Raiders.
Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the former Eastern Michigan product is better off joining a contender. It’s easy to see why the Cowboys could be interested in the former two-time All-Pro, as Jerry Jones has the extra first-round picks since trading Micah Parsons. Dallas has one of the worst defenses in the league, sitting at dead last statistically, but the good news is that Jones is open for business this year. It will have to take a special player for the Cowboys to be open to trading their extra first-rounders, and it could end up being Crosby that joins Dallas in that scenario.
Either way, it shouldn’t be surprising if these three teams contact the Raiders at some point during the season to strengthen their defense.

Potential Destinations
Baltimore Ravens
Even though the Baltimore Ravens are 1-3, it’s still a possibility that the team could find themselves in the mix for at least a wild-card spot. However, the biggest implication is the huge injury bug on their roster that could prevent them from going far. With quarterback Lamar Jackson and cornerback Marlon Humphrey set to miss multiple weeks, the Ravens must do something here to upgrade this team overall. They already lost a major defensive line star, Nnamdi Madubuike, for the rest of the season, and Broderick Washington is nursing an injury as well.
Baltimore might not have the cap space to single-handedly save their team, but they could risk their draft capital. This is where Crosby can come into the conversation and join the Ravens at some point, only at the right offer. Las Vegas might be unwilling to trade Crosby to another AFC rival, but if they get something they like, they could be open to it.
Los Angeles Chargers
The same can be said about the Los Angeles Chargers, but they have the cap space to afford a trade for Crosby and they’re 3-1. The Chargers might’ve lost a close battle against New York, but it shouldn’t demotivate this entire roster from chasing after more. After losing Khalil Mack for several weeks, the only upgrade the Chargers made was signing Clelin Ferrell to strengthen the line rather than the linebacker room. While they have a ton of talent at the linebacker unit, they could use another defensive star to put Los Angeles over the top to help Ferrell and Da’Shawn Hand.
Detroit Lions
Meanwhile, this trade is likely. The Lions weren’t too far from being a legitimate Super Bowl contender, and it might be time to go full throttle and trade for Crosby. While they did lose Marcus Davenport for the rest of the year, they could easily find a way to upgrade this defense to put them in the best spot, and Crosby joining Aidan Hutchinson might be a blockbuster trade the Lions need to pull off to win a championship under the Jared Goff era.
