Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was a surprise entry on the team’s injury report yesterday, being listed as limited with a shoulder injury.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt addressed how Watson sustained his injury. Per Browns report Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram and Medina Gazette, Van Pelt said that the injury occurred during a run against the Tennessee Titans this past week.
Van Pelt said that the team will re-evaluate Watson today and get a clearer idea of how the shoulder is holding up.
The Browns offensive coordinator expressed confidence that Watson will play against the Baltimore Ravens this coming Sunday.
#Browns OC Alex Van Pelt: Deshaun Watson hurt shoulder on run vs. #Titans. Will see how he feels today whether he throws. Confident he’ll play Sunday.

Deshaun Watson had his best game of the season against the Tennessee Titans this past week. He completed over 80-percent of his passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in a dominating 27-3 win.
Fortunately for the Browns, their defense has been so dominant that they may not even need Watson to be at 100-percent in order to win games.
But if Alex Van Pelt is right, the Browns may not need to find out for sure this week.
Will we see Watson get the start against the Ravens this weekend?
