Calais Campbell isn’t ready to retire just yet. Moments ago, ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced that Campbell is returning to the Baltimore Ravens on a two-year deal.
“Free-agent DE Calais Campbell, a six-time Pro-Bowl selection, is returning to Baltimore on a two-year deal, per source. The 35-year-old Campbell has spent the past two seasons in Baltimore and now is expected to finish his NFL career there,” Schefter tweeted on Saturday morning.
NFL insider Josina Anderson is reporting that Campbell’s contract with the Ravens includes $6 million guaranteed at signing.
During the 2021 season, Campbell had 49 total tackles, 12 quarterback hits, five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has to be thrilled that Campbell is returning for the 2022 season. He recently told the media that he has his “fingers crossed” that Campbell will come back to Baltimore.
Campbell, 35, is no longer playing at an All-Pro level. However, he remains a solid role player who brings a ton of leadership to the locker room.
The Ravens’ fan base should be glad that Campbell is sticking around for the next two seasons.
