The Philadelphia Eagles could be in the main spotlight of this offseason, and they may trade wide receiver AJ Brown to the Buffalo Bills. According to Bleacher Report, several insiders believe that Brown is a fit for the Bills, given that the team doesn’t have a lot of stardom in their receiving unit. Ever since they traded Stefon Diggs a few offseasons ago, the team never found a true No. 1 wideout, while Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer were all sharing the same load. This is something that the Bills have lacked for the past few seasons, which have costed them losing the divisional round against the Denver Broncos.
Eagles, Bills Connected in Latest Blockbuster AJ Brown Trade 2026
Buffalo can blame former head coach Sean McDermott for their shortcomings in making it to the Super Bowl. However, Allen needed a special playmaker to help him move the chains and keep the momentum driving. With Keon Coleman likely to be sent in a trade, Brown is the perfect replacement for Allen, as the route-runner is perfect to catch the deep balls while making crucial plays down the stretch. Unfortunately, the Eagles’ wide receiver is getting older, but that shouldn’t matter to the Bills.
It looks like they will be rebuilding, but it feels more them just adjusting their offense a bit to make Allen comfortable. What’s going to be the most daunting task is replacing McDermott, who caught many by surprise when he was fired. Brown is still a Super Bowl, and anywhere he ends up, the next team will reap the benefits and immediately turn into a postseason contender. If he doesn’t end up in Buffalo, here are three teams that could trade for him.
Other Possible Destinations
Baltimore Ravens
After moving on without John Harbaugh, the Baltimore Ravens are still searching for their new head coach. Even if they hire the best candidate, the new coach must rebuild the wide receiver unit to help Lamar Jackson. Unfortunately for Rashod Bateman, this could come at the expense of his role. If the Ravens trade for a massive superstar like Brown, which they should, the team will have no other choice but to consider sending Bateman to a new team.
While they can keep him to utilize his skillset as a WR3 slot receiver, the Ravens won’t have the financial means to keep Zay Flowers, Brown and Bateman altogether. Baltimore is a better team than they look, and someone like Brown stepping in could change the offense for a long time.
Indianapolis Colts
Meanwhile, expect the Colts to make an aggressive push for Brown. They have Michael Pittman Jr. They could dangle on the trade block, but they must restructure his contract to make it work.
Brown could be sent along with a future low-stakes sixth-round pick in exchange for Pittman and a second-rounder, and that sounds like a sweet deal for both. This gives the Colts the advantage to readjust the contract for Brown while finding a way to extend standout wide receiver, Alec Pierce.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Nobody should rule out the Jaguars making a potential move. Ever since they’ve hired head coach Liam Coen, it seems like the Jaguars keep moving in a new direction. This came at the expense of running back Tank Bigsby, and now Travis Etienne is set to hit the market. While the team is rolling the dice on their future for Brian Thomas Jr., it doesn’t mean they won’t consider trading him. They spent a new contract on Jakobi Meyers, who they just traded for this past 2025 season.
This tells you that they could move Thomas Jr. if there is a better option out there for them. It shouldn’t be surprising if the Jaguars try to get Brown while offering Thomas and a first-round pick.
