Fan confidence in the Ravens reaches second lowest point of the season

November 23, 2024 by Baltimore Beatdown

Ravens fans are not confident in the Ravens’ after their defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens have faced a tumultuous season. A disappointing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs followed by a more grievous defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders plummeted to them to 0-2. At which point, Ravens fans confidence faltered from high hopes to misery.

However, they climbed back from said depths to the tune of five consecutive victories, including wins over the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals and upstart Washington Commanders.

Since their 5-2 start, the Ravens are 2-2. Wins over the Denver Broncos and Bengals once more put them into expected contention, but defeats to the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers have usurped fans’ confidence.

Each week, Baltimore Beatdown polls Ravens fans about their confidence in the team. And after the loss to the Steelers in Week 11, fans have found themselves at their second-lowest confidence of the season. As of now, 35% of Ravens fans are confident in the teams’ direction.

Only the 0-2 start and loss to the Raiders had them in a more disheveled inflection point.

The fluctuation is representative of a team with high expectations. Losing plummets confidence and wins against expected foes are to be expected. The only chance to exceed fan confidence is victory over the critical opponents of the season. The Ravens faltered at their key moments in the Chiefs and Steelers.

And now, the Ravens are headed to face the Los Angeles Chargers are the West coast. A win would put them directly into virtual playoff clinching. But a loss would spark greater frustration and concern with the remainder of their schedule.

So, are they expected to win or loss come Monday night? According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Ravens are rather strongly favored at -2.5, considering they’re the road team. And the majority of NFL fans across SB Nation believe they will handle business.

A Ravens win on Monday can only spell meeting expectations, then. Unless something resounding on the field occurs. Which, considering the Ravens, Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and the team writ-large, they certainly have a flair for the dramatic.
