Training camp fights are part of the annual ritual for NFL teams, particularly during joint practices.
After battling against their teammates all summer, guys are raring to go against players in another jersey. Sometimes, that intensity leads to conflict.
That’s what happened during Tuesday’s joint practice between the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders. Interestingly, the fight that broke out happened following a seemingly innocuous play.
Ravens wide receiver Tylan Wallace caught a short pass near the sideline while being guarded by Washington’s Emmanuel Forbes. Forbes tried to punch the ball out, and his continued effort annoyed Wallace, who threw a jab at the rookie first round pick.ย
Forbes followed suit, igniting the altercation, which can be seen below.

It doesn’t look like things got too out of control, which both coaching staffs are surely grateful for. The last thing you want is an all-out brawl during one of these joint training sessions.
As it turns out, there was just another incident between the two teams.

Baltimore and Washington are holding these combined practices ahead of Monday night’s preseason game between the two teams. Hopefully no more fireworks fly before then or during the exhibition contest.
