ANNAPOLIS, MD (WBFF) — The State Board of Elections has named Clifford Tatum as the new Election Director for the Baltimore City Board of Elections.
His appointment, which takes effect on September 17, 2025, follows a comprehensive search and marks a key step in the city’s commitment to ensuring secure, fair, and accessible elections.
Tatum brings more than 15 years of experience in election administration to the role.
Known for his in-depth knowledge of election law and dedication to transparency, officials said he was selected as the most qualified candidate to lead the city’s election efforts through future voting cycles.
In a press release, the State Board of Elections said Tatum’s leadership will be “instrumental in guiding our city through upcoming election cycles and strengthening public confidence in the electoral process.”
Community members are encouraged to welcome Tatum as he begins his work with the Baltimore City Board of Elections this fall.
