Baltimore Ravens rookie running back Keaton Mitchell’s first NFL season is officially over.
Mitchell suffered a torn ACL in the second half of last night’s 23-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The former East Carolina star had to be helped off the field and was eventually taken to the locker room by cart.

Mitchell suffered the injury on a play in the fourth quarter last night. The rookie speedster appeared to be breaking a long run into the open field when he was tripped up by Jaguars safety Andrew Wingard.
Mitchell’s left knee bent at an awkward angle on the play.

Prior to getting hurt, Mitchell, who started on Sunday, had racked up 73 yards on nine carries. He is now the second Ravens running back to suffer a season-ending injury in a game this year, joining JK Dobbins, who tore his Achilles in Week 1.
For the season, Mitchell finished with 396 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 47 carries in eight games. He recorded the first 100-yard game of his career in Week 9, rushing for 138 yards and one touchdown on nine carries in a 37-3 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
