Jake Paul, Tyron Woodley respond to former Ravens RB Le'Veon Bell on Twitter

December 22, 2021 by Ravens Wire

The Baltimore Ravens needed to find all new running backs before the start of the 2021 season, as they lost players such as J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards for the year due to injury. One of the running backs that they brought in was Le’Veon Bell, first signing him to the practice squad and then promoting him to the active roster full-time. However things didn’t go as planned for Bell, as he was let go after just five games.

After Jake Paul knocked out Tyron Woodley in the sixth round on Sunday night, Bell called out Paul, telling him to fight people who actually know how to box. Both Paul and Woodley caught wind of Bell’s tweet, and responded to the running back on Twitter.

Aye @TWooodley this clown saying you can’t box.

How about you show him as part of the next MVP event?

Tyron would drop you faster than the Ravens !! https://t.co/upqpKwWay0

So you coat tailing. I get it. See a person courageous enough to go into battle, and use that to try to throw your name in there for a bag. Without making that walk. That’s defined as clout chasing. Surprising from you https://t.co/xjZJdUOCdT

Bell then responded to both fighters, doubling down on his first remarks.

don’t run from the work https://t.co/5vydJdIQqb

any revenue I would make for the fight I would donate to charity…every single dollar! since ppl who can’t box like YOU think i’m in it for money…lol it’s not about money, it’s about me doin what you couldn’t do … I don’t need to pocket a dime, I already got “a bag” .. 😉 https://t.co/fDuU4vtZDH

The former Ravens seems confident in his ability to go toe-to-toe with the YouTube sensation. Bell has used boxing to get into shape for football season, as Rich Cimini of ESPN reported that the running back would have night boxing sessions in the gym to train.

Paul is quickly earning himself a reputation in the boxing world. Bell wants a piece of the undefeated boxer, although it’s unclear if the two will ever face off.
