A lot of NFL teams are finding themselves in need of an extra quarterback as we march fully into the second half of the season. For free agent quarterback Joe Flacco, one team’s desperation could land him a contract.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Flacco is one of several quarterbacks working out for the Cleveland Browns today. Per the report, the team is looking into adding a quarterback to their practice squad, if not the main roster.
“The #Browns are hosting a QB workout this morning, and sources say former Super Bowl MVP and #Ravens QB Joe Flacco is among them. Flacco last played for the #Jets and has kept his mind open about a return. With Deshaun Watson’s injury, adding a practice squad player is likely.”
Browns fans might not remember Flacco so fondly though. During his 11 years with the Baltimore Ravens, Flacco went 17-3 against their team.
Flacco’s most recent start against the Browns came as a member of the New York Jets last year. He led that team on a 13-point comeback with less than two minutes to play to beat the Browns and effectively end their season before it even began.

But desperate times call for desperate measures.
With Deshaun Watson out for the year and the Browns sitting in the playoff zone at 6-3, any quarterback who is even a marginal upgrade over what they currently have would probably be met with open arms.
Will Joe Flacco sign with the Browns?
